I’ve worked hard on this list and due to some films not being in my area to see I have to leave off a few but I wanted to get this out as close to the end of 2010 as I could.

10. Despicable Me

This film doesn’t get enough credit for taking a really unoriginal concept and making it purely entertaining and a quality animated feature that was hidden under the giant that was Toy Story 3.

9. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1

This is the beginning of the end of one of the greatest movie franchises of all time. David Yates brings this franchise to a strong climax and starts it with a well put together film in Part 1. Not to mention great acting from the Potter crew.

8. Shutter Island

Martin Scorsese gives us a twisting story led by great acting from Leo DiCaprio. This film which came early and became forgotten after the summer began earns recognition to being a great film during the weak spring.

7. The Town

Ben Affleck directed a intense drama about crime in Boston that gave us memorable action as well as solid acting from the main cast.

6. Black Swan

Natalie Portman carries the audience on a crazy ride through the life of a perfection crazed ballerina in Darren Aronofsky’s masterpiece.

5. True Grit

Jeff Bridges gives a strong performance as the Coen Brothers give a witty remake of the John Wayne classic that should become a classic itself.

4. The Kids Are All Right

This enjoyable dramedy about a family with two moms and two kids that are looking for their donor dad that shows that any type of family can be dysfunctional but they still can find love for each other out of it.

3. Toy Story 3

Pixar does it again as they gives us one of the greatest animated movies of all time by ending a memorable franchise in one of the greatest ways possible.

2. Inception

The phenomenon that Christopher Nolan instilled into our brains months after it’s release. It will surely get a lot of Oscar attention and jumps into many people’s all-time favorites.

1. The Social Network

David Fincher gives a portrayal of how one of the biggest social media sites of our time became created as well as giving a visual display of the technological age that we live in now. It was a tough pick between this and Inception but I believe this gave such a great representation of the technological age that we are in that it will charter a whole new wave of films that will follow it.

I hope you enjoy the list and chime in if you feel I missed a movie.
